Questions we hear before a project starts

If your question is not here, send it through the contact form and an engineer will answer it.

What kind of work does BizHues take on?
Custom software, web and mobile applications, enterprise application integration, CMS builds, data engineering, and AI features. Most engagements are either a new system built from a business requirement or an existing system that needs to be modernised, connected, or extended.
How does an engagement start?
With a short requirements call. You describe the problem and the systems involved; we ask questions and tell you honestly whether it is something we should build together. If it is, we run a discovery phase that ends with a written scope and estimate.
How long does a project take?
It depends on scope, which is why we scope first. A focused first release of a web application typically takes a few months; a marketing site with content systems can be shorter; integration work depends on the systems involved. The discovery output includes a realistic timeline.
How is pricing structured?
Discovery is estimated as a fixed piece of work. Builds are quoted after discovery, either as a fixed scope or as a dedicated team retained month to month for ongoing work. Changes to scope are discussed openly, with cost and timeline impact stated before work starts.
Who owns the code and the infrastructure?
You do. Repositories, cloud accounts, and third-party services are created in your name or transferred to you at handover, along with documentation.
Can you work with our existing systems and team?
Yes. Much of our work is integration with existing ERPs, CRMs, databases, and internal tools. We also work alongside in-house teams through resource augmentation, where our engineers join your process and tooling.
Do you build AI features into existing products?
Yes. Most AI work we take on is a feature inside a system that already exists: a CRM, a helpdesk, an ERP or an internal tool. We check first whether a model is the right tool or whether a rule would do, then design the data access, the review step and the monitoring before the feature ships.
What happens after launch?
You can keep us on for support and the next improvements, or take over with your own team. Either way you receive documentation, monitoring, and a clean handover.
